Abertis Telecom is one of the leading telecommunications infrastructure and services operators in Europe, with a strong presence in both the satellite and terrestrial markets. In the satellite sector, Abertis Telecom is the main shareholder in Eutelsat, with a 32% stake, and is also the main shareholder in Hispasat, with a 33.4% stake. Furthermore, it holds a 51% stake in the Spanish audiovisual services company Overon. In the terrestrial sector, Abertis Telecom owns the largest network in Spain for the broadcast and transmission of audiovisual signals, with more than 3,200 sites. Abertis Telecom is leading the deployment of Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) in Spain, achieving over 96% coverage of the Spanish population. |
